RECREOS -15: “If one can imagine it, we can create it.”
Bengaluru, 18th November 2015. Lumiere, the Science Club of Christ School ICSE organized 
an innovative annual science fest titled, “Recreos ‘15” on 18th and 19th of , December, 2015 with the intent of instilling a scientific temper in the students, nurturing their curiosity and widening their imagination as well as the knowledge of the world around them.
The members of the Science Club, together with the members of the staff,shouldered the responsibility of organizing the entire event. ‘If one can imagine it, we can create it’ was the underlying philosophy behind the exhibition. The exhibition was declared open by Mr. PerhakanForss, a retired Lieutenant in the Swedish army and a renowned teacher of Science, social studies and technical sciences. He, together with 10 other distinguished guests from Sweden, further made the maiden visit to the exhibition and took keen interest in viewing the exhibits and models displayed by the participants. The guests who arrived from Sweden were overwhelmed by the ambience as well as the warm welcome rendered to them and expressed their admiration for the students and their ingenious and creativeefforts.
The participants passionately showcased their talents displaying a total of around 400 creative exhibits and 150 working models.The exhibits displayed by the students from classes I to X were categorized in 10 different segments such as: Cosmos Gallery (An Inquiry into the Cosmos and Solar System), Environ (Surge of the Elements), Phyto Kingdom (Journey of a Seed), Zoo Odyssey (Exciting Facts about Animal Kingdom), Hygieia (Healthy Habits), Humanopedia (Amazing Human Anatomy), RoboDynamico (Fascinating Robotics and Hydraulics), Eureka (Curious Science), Electra (The Power of Electromagnetism) and Varietas (The Best of Rest).The entire venue was bubbled with excitement when the students and teachers from the neighboring schools paid a visit.
The fest was open to all Christites and the students of adjacent schools on Friday, December 18, 2015and for the parents on Saturday, December 19, 2015. Rev. Fr. Shaju Varghese, our Principal and the brainchild behind this mega eventto whom we owe our gratitude, appreciated the students for exhibiting their numerous talents and opined that “Recreos ’15” would definitely be another exciting chapter in the history of our school. The exhibition was widely appreciated by all who paid their visit. Kudos to all the participants!
