Amaan ki Asha: Aaryan Group CEO Aaysha is now Fellow of Asian Society’s India-Pak Initiative

Award-winning Aaysha Amaan, CEO & MD of Aaryan Group has been inducted as a Fellow of the Asia Society’s India-Pakistan Regional Young Leaders Initiative for the year 2013. The young social entrepreneur was selected among many nominations for having demonstrated a commitment to collaborate across borders and boundaries to address the region’s biggest challenges.

The India-Pakistan Regional Young Leaders Initiative (IPRYLI) is a subset of the broader Asia Society Asia 21 Young Leaders Initiative. In seven years, Asia 21 has become the leading next generation leaders’ network in the Asia-Pacific, with close to eight hundred active members from 30 countries and economies and across all sectors (see http://asiasociety.org/policy-politics/asia-21).

As a Fellow, Ms Aaysha Amaan will be required to:

*Attend the 2013 India-Pakistan 21 Forum in Islamabad (August 16-18), and the annual Asia 21 Young Leaders Summit in China (December 4-8);

* Collaboratively develop a plan for a cross-border public service project at the Forum, as part of the community-building process and complete in within the fellowship year;

* Actively communicate via a specially dedicated social media group;

* Work with a media consultant to implement a broad media outreach strategy on the challenges of leadership for India and Pakistan that also highlights the profiles and work of the young leaders; and

* Be connected to Asia 21 sector groups which link leaders from across Asia within particular sectors (media, government, business, arts, etc.)

The Asia Society’s India-Pakistan Regional Young Leaders Initiative’s activities related to the summer Forum will take place over a weekend—an opening dinner on the Friday evening and conclude on the Sunday afternoon.
