Families came together to partake in the largest open-air drawing and painting session, giving life to their creative visions on paper.

In 2014, Kishore Joseph, the visionary founder and director of Breathe Entertainment, brought Colorothon to life, drawing inspiration from the heartwarming conclusion of the iconic movie “Taare Zameen Par.” Like the film, which celebrated art and individuality, Colorothon aimed to provide a platform for artists to showcase their talents and find their unique voices.

Kishore Joseph, Founder-Trustee of Colorothon and Breathe Entertainment, expressed his vision: “Our goal is to see people from all over the country participating in a day dedicated to painting, celebrated as Colorothon Day.”

Shashi Kumar, CEO, and Co-founder of Akshayakalpa Organic, emphasized the shared principle that unites Akshayakalpa and COLOROTHON: “Akshayakalpa Organic, India’s first certified organic dairy brand, is proud to associate with the prestigious art festival, COLOROTHON. It is a remarkable community engagement art festival that brings people together. We are deeply committed to promoting wellness, creativity, and sustainability in every aspect of life.”

He continued, “At Akshayakalpa Organic, we believe in nurturing not only the earth but also the artistic spirit within us. COLOROTHON aligns perfectly with our core values by fostering a sense of community, inspiring artistic expression, and encouraging a deeper connection with nature.”

Furthermore, Mr. Kumar expressed his belief in the power of art to forge bonds and create lasting memories. “This partnership exemplifies our commitment to cultivating a greener world where creativity and conscious living intertwine. Colors resemble life. In paintings, they evoke a sense of hope and motivation. Through this association, we aim to bring COLOR and PEOPLE together.”

Saahil Ahmed, Vice Chairman of The Cambridge International School (TCIS), shared his excitement about Colorothon, stating, “We are thrilled about Colorothon, India’s Largest Community Drawing & Painting Festival. This festival carries a noble cause of spreading awareness about climate change among children.”
Ahmed continued, “We believe that art is a potent tool for change, and we hope that Colorothon will inspire children to take action to protect our planet.”

As part of their charitable mission, the organizers pledged to donate the top three hundred paintings to Colorothon’s charity partner, Fund a Child in India. Additionally, the top 300 paintings from the Children’s category would be available for purchase on shop.kidschaupal.com, empowering young talents to become entrepreneurs. Dhiraj Singh, Co-Founder of KidsChaupal, highlighted their focus on providing a next-gen platform for youth to realize their potential by honing their skills.
