BANGALORE(MT NEWS): Comic readers in India are having a very good news as the evergreen superhero Phantom is coming back to India. Regal Publishers from Kerala is launching Phantom comics in English from August, 2020 onwards.
Regal Publishers have been publishing both Phantom and Mandrake in Malayalam and their decision to bring Phantom comics in English is a big move in their publishing history. The first two Phantom comics (No. 1 & No. 2) will be released on August 1, 2020. Each comics contains two stories i.e., a total of 4 stories and the price per comics is INR 120. The comics are in multi colour. They are starting with stories after 1996. For the first two comics, the cover arts have been done by artist Vincent Moses Raja from Tamilnadu.
“Now, we are launching the Phantom comics in English on a trial basis. If all the comic lovers support this initiative by buying the Phantom comics in English, we will definitely continue to publish more Phantom comics in English”, Mr. Jacob Varghese, Managing Partner of Regal Publishers pointed out.
Environmentalist, Author, Educationist and Motivational Speaker U S Moinuddin who is a die-hard fan of the Phantom said, “I am very excited, as Phantom comics are getting relaunched in India. I grew up reading Phantom comics, which were published by Indrajal comics, when they ceased production in the year 1990, it was a big blow to comic lovers. Thanks to Regal Publishers, our superhero will be back in action.”
