G&C Colorothon brings rangeela Hyderabad
Over 10,000 people of all ages to be part of Colorothon – a painting extravaganza this Children’s Day

Hyderabad November 7th 2015: Chalo Hyderabad, dress up in all your colours and go partying. This November 15 as part of Children’s Day Celebration, all are invited – from 3-year-olds to 90-year-olds. Take a brush and paint your imagination. Showcase your artistic side. Create a cartoon. Try your hand at some stand-up comedy. Shake a leg. See and experience some magic. And much more. In short just be. Be your creative side. In other words, be a true Hyderabadi.
That’s what G&C Colorothon-6 is all about, organizing the largest ever public arts & painting extravaganza at Sanjeevaiah Park, Hyderabad. They did it earlier in Bengaluru, Chennai and Delhi. Buoyed by the enthusiastic participation of several thousand people from all age-groups and all sections of society, they are now bringing this mega event to Cyberabad.
When thousands of people get an opportunity to showcase their creative talents on canvas, one thing that’s going to happen for sure is spotting of new talent. Expect the talent on display to be such that it will be difficult to differentiate the amateur from the professional!
Talking about his experience over the past 5 editions of the event. Kishore Joseph, organizer, and director, Breathe Entertainment, said he is amazed by the quality of the paintings from ordinary people some of whom may be even wielding the brush for the first time. “There is lot of untapped creative talent in the common people which is waiting to be discovered or which needs an outlet and this is precisely what Colorothon is all about,” he said, and added, “In Hyderabad given its rich culture and history, I expect our event here to break all our previous records.”
Colorothon-6 is being sponsored by G&C Global Consortium Pvt. Ldt, a leading real estate development &
consultancy firm, because, says A.V.R. Chowdary, founder-chairman, it’s a unique event which brings together people belonging to 3 generations under a single platform to express themselves through art and painting and thus give an opportunity to the company to connect with and establish and strengthen its relationship with them. G&C also plans to take the event to Vijayawada next.
Incidentally, Breathe Entertainment, the organizers, are eyeing an entry into the Limca Book of Records and the Guinness Book of World Records for organizing the largest ever public painting extravaganza in the world! In other words, you as a participant have a chance to be a part of a record-making event.
Plus, 500 best paintings of the participants judged by renowned artists, will be auctioned and donated to our Charity Partner My Choices Foundation, for a social cause. My Choice Foundation works to give women and girls choices to live free from abuse, violence and exploitation through two key initiatives.
Further Colorothon will have something for everyone– cartoon characters, art bazaars, drum circles, live painting, stand-up comedy, magic show, and more. Incidentally, the painting event themed on Draw Your Imagination, is inspired by Aamir Khan’s award winning Taare Zameen Par.
Colorothon is a concept of Breathe Entertainment, co-founded by Kishore Joseph and Ahmed Shariff. The event is being held in support of My Choices Foundation,. Thirty renowned artists from Hyderabad will also join the participants and their paintings will be auctioned to raise funds for our Charity partner.
Colorothon will soon be foraying into other major cities such as Mumbai, Pune, Kolkata and Guwahati. “Our vision is to see Indians from all over the country of all ages and all groups take to painting on a day which will be celebrated as Colorothon Day,” says Ahmed Shariff. “We will be approaching the Tourism and Culture department seeking their support and funding for this social cause and take this event to all major cities in India.
