Dragon AR App has been developed by Mohamed Sardar. According to the developer of this augmented reality app, this AR technology will help engage students in an interactive way. With this app, illustrations in books come to life with AR technology, which attracts and captivates readers of all ages. It provides rich contextual learning for individuals learning a skill and at the same time engage learner in ways that have never been possible. Moreover, this technology shifts learners from passive to active learning mode.

This augmented reality app is a revolutionary concept that makes virtual, 3D objects appear in the real world, attached to real objects. Users can look through an augmented reality POV Viewing Device or at a monitor to see virtual objects like planets, volcanoes, the human heart or dinosaurs. These can be attached to cards, the pages of a book, interactive white board or even on the floor or wall to provide a 3D animated replica that fills the room. Virtual objects excel at conveying spatial, temporal and contextual concepts-especially when the real objects or real replicas are too expensive, dangerous, or fragile.

Sardar is also about to demonstrate another augmented reality app based on Tippu Sultan, “The Tiger of India”, with few 3D Elements like Sword/ Horse/ Elephant etc. All the users need to do is point their mobile phone camera at a painting/image to get complete information, such as 3D Elements, sound, video, graphics.

In the real world environment, sightseeing has been enhanced using this augmented reality app (Pocket Universe). Using a smartphone equipped with a camera, tourists can walk through historic sites and see facts and figures presented as an overlay on their live screen. These applications use GPS and image recognition technology to look up data from an online database. In addition to information about a historic site, applications exists that look back in history and show how the location looked 10, 50 or even 1000 years ago.

Mohamed Sardar, is a true example of “It does not matter where you come from, all it matters is where you are going.”
