Summer Camp in Samarthanam

Bangalore, April 24: It’s a different atmosphere, a different experience. No special coaches here… No Special scheduled training. But it’s a summer camp. Yes, Samarthanam Trust for Disabled, a non-government organization, is organizing summer camp for its disabled children.

Nearly 200 visually impaired and disabled students of Samarthanam enjoying the hot summer with cool experience. ANZ, a multinational Company initiated this summer camp.  Apart from ANZ Companies like Symphony Services, SKF, Target, NetApp,Deloitte, and many individual volunteers conducting sessions for about 200 students residing at various projects of Samarthanam from Bangalore, Dharwad, Gadag and Belgaum.

Visually impaired and physically challenged students enjoyed a lot. Samarthanam is indebted to all those who supported, imparted knowledge, appreciated and enjoyed themselves in this project for 27 days. The students had a great exposure to about 500 volunteers from various fields. This was great opportunity and a win for both in promoting volunteerism. The volunteers were expressed their happiness and moved by the way children interacted with them. Samarthanam values the skill and time of the volunteers of all kinds.
